US industrial production moved down by 0.1 per cent in November after falling by 0.4 per cent in October.
Manufacturing output rose by 0.2 per cent in the month, but was 1 per cent below its year-earlier level.
Capacity utilisation stepped down to 76.8 per cent in the month.
The non-durable manufacturing index fell by 0.3 per cent; the output of apparel and leather dropped by 2.1 per cent.
